NOTICE OF VACANCY

Local Government Act 1972- Sections 87 and 89

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the resignation of Councillor Georgie Fincham a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of a Parish Councillor for Weston Turville Parish Council

If by 31st January (within 14 days excluding Dies Non after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer, Buckinghamshire Council, The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, Bucks HP19 8FF or via email to [email protected]** by TEN electors for the Town/Parish, then an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

CO-OPTION

Notice was duly given in accordance with Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act, 1972 for one casual vacancy which occurred in the office of Councillor for Weston Turville Parish Council.

This seat can now be filled by co-option which means that instead of there being a by-election the current Councillors will choose between applicants.

Anyone wishing to put their name forward must contact the Parish Council, for an informal discussion please contact the Vice Chair or  Clerk.
