Community Led Plan

The Parish Council requested the local community to form a group, to ensure the wishes of the parish are formulated and presented with the general acceptance of as many residents as possible. A steering group was thus formed in the summer of 2010, under the chairmanship of Jim Paterson.

It is an independent group which gathers the views and requirements of residents, to ensure Weston Turville remains a vibrant community, and one of the most attractive and desirable villages in which to live.

On Saturday 25th of September 2010 an Open Day was held in the Village Hall, which was the first step in the process of developing a plan for the future of the parish. During the day, visiting residents wrote down their ideas, and from these the Steering Group prepared a questionnaire, which in 2011 was delivered by hand to every household in Weston Turville. This enabled residents to have their say about how Weston Turville should develop over the next few years. The replies to the questionnaire have formed the main basis for a community plan for Weston Turville, which should have a bearing on decisions made by Weston Turville Parish Council, Aylesbury Vale District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council. The Plan, it is hoped, reflects the views of all sections of the community.

We hope you enjoy reading the Plan, and if willing and able, to engage in one or two of the activities outlined in the Plan, or bring to our attention anything you think we have not covered.

The plan has been collated from the responses to the questionnaire, and can be viewed by clicking the link below. You are at liberty to print either for yourselves, or for any resident who does not have access to the Internet.
