Meeting notes from multi-agency meeting re ASB:

A multi-agency meeting took place on 8th February to discuss the antisocial behaviour in our village, particularly in the Marroway. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Parish Council, Thames Valley Police, Aylesbury Vale District Council (Planning, Environmental Health and Community Safety teams) and Bucks County Council (Gypsy Traveller Liaison and Social Services).

A lot of work is ongoing - TVP are regularly on site and had recently caught three children in the act of throwing stones at passing cars, they have issued Acceptable Behaviour Contracts to their parents. Bucks CC Traveller Liaison officer is regularly visiting the Ponyfields site to help support the families there to get the children into school.

Visits are planned by Planning and Environmental Health officers to ensure the site is complying with its planning permission. TVP will continue their visits in order to identify the families currently living on the site and will also increase patrols around the shops in the mornings and the village hall when the Youth Café is open.

More engagement with the local community is planned, Thames Valley Police will attend the Annual Parish Meeting on 19th April and a “Have you Say” event will be organised where residents can drop in and talk to the police. AVDC will organise a residents survey to include questions about whether they have been a victim or antisocial behaviour and how it has impacted on them.

Residents are encouraged to contact TVP to make impact statements to support the case. To make an impact statement, contact the Wendover Neighbourhood Police Team on 101 or email Thomas.piercy@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk or wendovernhpt@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

As many of the culprits causing the antisocial behaviour appear to be under the age of 10, residents should contact 999 if they see a child/children out and about unsupervised after dark or in a potentially dangerous situation. It is a child protection issue and police need attend to take the child to a safe place.
