The Mid Bucks Bee Keepers Association need the help of individuals and communities across our area.

The long cold winter has had extremely damaging effects on the colonies of honey bees looked after by its members. Current losses for many members are in excess of 50% and some are reporting 100% losses.

In order to boost the number of colonies of this most important pollinator we need to collect as many swarms this summer as possible.

The Association, fear that there will be few swarms this year. A swarm of bees that are not collected by a beekeeper only have a less than 20% chance of survival.

If you see a swarm please contact the MBBKA hotline on 07770370132 and they will come out and collect it.
